The 5am alarm rang and I sprung up from bed. Took a cold shower and ate cereal for breakfast. Got dress and left home at 530am.

Started the car and did a visual inspection of e car to check for any damages. 545am the car was all warm up and I set off. Went to my regular car wash station and did a wash , water wax and vacuum. Standard package each time i visit e car wash station .

645am I was already at the basement carpark waiting for Melissa . Took out my car cloth and started to wipe down those wet spots on e car.

‘What in the world are you doing ? It’s only 7am !! … I heard a lady shouting . Thinking maybe one of e domestic helper got a scolding.

Turning my head , i realised it was Melissa standing just behind me with her earphones to her iphone.

Melissa ‘ I was told that you are always very early’. ‘ I decided to come check on you after completing my workout at e GYM upstairs.

I stood there speechless . Looking again at sports attire but a different outfit this time. A sexy FBT shorts and a loose TOP. Her perspiration was dripping down from her neck all over the cold concrete floor .

Me ‘ this is my routine, is hard not to do this. Especially so I am paid to do a job.

Melissa ‘you are paid to drive not to do all this. Just go to e car wash station and make a claim for it ‘

I nod my head and smile back at her.

Melissa ‘ come up and let’s have breakfast ‘

My hand froze from the cleaning action I was doing and i stare blankly at Melissa

Melissa ‘ what ? You don’t eat is it superman ! ‘

I step into the house and the scent of Thai spices heavily perfume e whole place. This want your average egg and sausages breakfast.

Standing next to e dinning table i saw a spread of food that I seldom get to have for breakfast.

‘ why are you standing ?’ … Melissa said.

She walk pass me. Bend forward to place the food item on the table. I was just standing right behind her butt. I was in a awkward position. I took a step backward.

She turn around and ‘ why ? What’s wrong ‘ Melissa was still in the sport attire, but I could see that she has touch up her makeup

I just gave an excuse ‘ sorry I was about to sneeze. So I step back , not used to the scent of these powerful spices ‘

Melissa ‘ food is getting cold ‘ come let’s eat . ‘

I pull e chair out and sat . Melissa stood beside me and have serve me food on my plate. Taking effort to share information on Thai food and culture ‘

I felt really uncomfortable. My boss is serving me instead of me waiting on her. Her close proximity also lead to many close body contact . With each contact sending different signals to my body parts !

Melissa read me well and understood that I would not start eating until she too join me. She plated her food and sat next to me as we both enjoy the wonder spread.

After 15 mins , I place my cutlery gentle down on e table. Melissa went into the kitchen and brought out two tea cups .

Melissa ‘ drink up ! This is good for you! ‘

I took a sip and recognise it is a lemongrass drink. But there was something inside the drink that was unusual.

I woke up sitting at the sofa in the living room. The TOP Two buttons of my shirt were undone. My belt was roll up just right next to my wallet and HP on the coffee table.

I struggle to sit upright and found my shirt was wet with my perspiration. A pair of soft hands was soon on my shoulder blades.

“Relax… “. “ is not a drug. Is just a herb from Thailand , I mix it with e lemongrass drink. “ I guess is too strong for u but it is good for your body…..

Melissa words soon turn into a soothing background music like those you get at the Spa. As she still continue to rub away those stiff shoulders of mine.

I struggle to keep my eyes open. Fought back, i stood up and turn around to face her.

Melissa was stunt. She was in her bathrobe most likely to have taken a shower. Her TOP was exposed as she had bend forward to massage me just now. It wasn’t too big. Looks like a B cup.

She wasn’t shy at all as she slowly compose herself and stood up. Maybe thinking to herself this wasn’t the first time I saw her TOP.

Melissa ‘ i am time getting change now. Will be ready soon ‘ ‘ you can come to my room if you need the mirror !’

She walk away to her room

After five mins ‘ Charles… She blast

I rush in thinking she may have fell and hurt herself.

Melissa was in her working pants, with her bare back facing me.

She snap her finger and point to her bed .

I saw the tube of body lotion and knew what she wanted. Squeeze a generous amount onto my hand.

By this time Melissa had position herself in front of e full length mirror …. Waiting !

The mirror reflection exposed Everything without mercy ! Kept my focus and apply e lotion evenly onto her back.

Melissa ‘ enough’ she said

I step infront of her. took up the black bra from e corner of e dressing table and assisted her.

She adjust herself after i did up the last hook on.

Me “ I will wash my hands and start up e car ‘

We arrived at the basement carpark of golden mile . She even directed me where to park just next to the stairs .

Melissa ‘ down here will do , this staircase will lead us up

She led e way walking in a fast pace. We came to a small eatery and she went on to place the order speak in Thai to the lady boss.

Me ‘ that is a lot of food !’

As I saw her piling up her plate with seafood and other raw meat.

Melissa ‘ pls don’t tell me you are a vegetarian ?’

Me” no I am not but I don’t usually eat this late’

Melissa ‘ what about beer , she pass me a can of LEO beer ‘

Me ‘ I better not drink, I still have to drive and make sure you are safe bk home .

Melissa ‘ whoa , you really know what u are doing ‘

She finished 3 cans of beer but was in no way tipsy . 2 hours passed by and she was still eating.

Melissa ‘ so u been to Thailand ?’

Me. ‘ once ‘

M ‘ with your army friends ?’

Me ‘ no , with someone else ‘

M ‘ lady ?’

Me ‘ yes’

She did not speak much after that and started to slow down on her eating.

Me ‘ shall we call for e bill ?’

M ‘ ok ‘ as she signal e lady boss to round up e bill

Melissa offer paid for e meal and set off

Inside e car, e scent of BBQ was overpowering once e air con started . I excuse myself and head back to the booth to change into a short sleeve shirt. Putting away e soil shirt . Came back into the car .

She gave me a weird look !

M ‘ what abt me ? ‘

Me ‘ ???’

M ‘ my shirt stink too . ‘

Me ‘ I only have this. If U want it , u can have it . I got a inner garment shirt ‘

She did not hesitate and took off her shirt and wait for me to hand over my clean shirt to her

Satisfied she say ‘ ok let’s go ‘

While cruising back home, she help herself to the radio station and blast e music. Arrived at the basement carpark of her mom condo.

Melissa ‘ what ? You not coming up ?’

Me ‘ I …

M ‘ then how am I to return u your shirt ?’

I was pretty puzzled. She has no issue taking it off just now but now she was all modest .

Me “ ok I will follow u up ‘

Grab her soil shirt from e booth and follow her back. The private lift reach the unit and e door open.

Melissa immediately went out and did a round about turn and stop between e lift doors facing me .

I was stunt .

She took off the shirt slowly button by button and reveal her body to me.

Melissa ‘ what are u looking at ! ‘ she said sexily as she threw the shirt gently over my face and took her shirt off my hand.

‘ goodnight Charles! Pick me up tomorrow at 8am… she turn back and off e lights . The lift light shone lighting certain dark areas of e living room. As I heard the faint sound of her footsteps into the bedroom. The lift alarm sounded, a reminder to me not to hold up e lift door . I let my finger go and watch the darkness of e living hall fade away as the lift door shut.

I arrived 35 mins later, making a turn to the drop off point and the swimming blub. From a distance, i saw a lady standing with two huge plastic bags on the ground. As the car approaches, the LED lights shone down without mercy exposing what was ahead. Melissa was in her sports apparel. Skin tight grey sports pants and a pink color aerobics top. i could easily see the color of her sports bra.

i step out of the car with the boot open.

Melissa ‘ thank you so much , i do hope i am not interrupting your personal time? “

me ” not at all”

M ” the club manger insisted that i take back these two potted plants back for my mom. I try to reject the offer but he keep insisting. i cant carry them on my own that is why i ask for your assistance

me ” No problem let me try to see if it fits back at the boot

thank goodness the plants were able to fit.

I gave Melissa the thumbs up and was ready to go. She hop on to the front passenger seat

me ‘ it is more comfortable at the back”

Melissa ” dont be silly , i am not the VIP. lets go. its not too far off.

She gave the directions and in five mins we arrived a condo off Meyer Road. The security guard recognize her and we went straight to the basement carpark. i assisted to unload the stuff and went to park e car. i walk back to the lift lobby and carry the plants for her.

i did not say anything and continue to stand.

me ” Better not, i am afraid i wont be able to sleep later”

melissa ” ok i get u a hot chocolate instead “

she dash off without waiting for my reply

Melissa ‘ here u go , your hot chocolate … pls sit why are u standing ?’

Me ‘ thank you ‘

Melissa ‘ so how are you coping so far ?’

Me ‘ erhhhh , I haven’t even started !’

M ‘ oh yeah , silly me ! Do you think I am fat ? ‘

Me ‘ sorry , I beg your pardon ‘

M ‘ hahaha , I actually hungry now, I love to eat late night supper but then i worry that i will get fat too ‘

Me “ oh I see. If you want too I can drive you out to grab a bite !’

M ‘ great , do u think i should change ? ‘

I was worry that her sports attire might attract a lot of unwanted attention !

Mellissa smile and went into her room to change

She took a while and came out 20 mins later. She wore a short demin shorts and a short round neck polo shirt. I could see her belly button with metal studs on it

Melissa ‘this will do right ? We are not heading to any fancy place ain’t we?

I took a look at my wrist watch and replied ‘ I Guess not ‘

She sat at the front seat and adjusted her seat backwards . With her legs cross she asked ‘ where are we heading ?’

Me ‘ Newton circus hawker centre ‘

The time was 1145am as I look at my wrist watch before stepping in to check on the assign car at the limo firm.

Admin staff ‘ hello sir are you here to collect e Audi A8.

Me ‘ yes I am ‘

A. Staff ‘ pls follow me this way to have a look or the car before we proceed on with e paper work’

She led me to outside where e car was parked. From far I could see that the car was given a freshly coat of polish. Even the rims were nicely clean and brought to a shine.

Me ‘ may I start up the car and have a look in the interior.

A. Staff ‘ pls go ahead ‘

I start up e car and notice from e temperature gauge that the car was already warm up . Next I proceed to turn on e AC. The cool air blew cross the cabin. Effort was not spare, the clean and fresh scent from the AC indicates that they put in extra effort to have the interior in tip TOP condition.

Next i went thru the paper work and check if the details are correct.

A. Staff ‘ alright Sir, here areyour documents . Pls have it sign and we need the company stamp on it too.

I thank the staff and took over the car. I drove the car out and circle around the neighbourhood to monitor the car before heading to STC to let Melissa endorse the car rental lease contract.

Me ‘ hi Melissa I just arrived at STC B1 carpark. Can I come up to your office to let you endorse on e documents . I need the company stamp on e documents too.’ I sms her.

Five mins later ‘ pls come up to tower 6 , #xx-yyy

I got a security pass over the counter and went straight up. Her personal assistant welcome me at the door and requested for e documents . She then directed me straight to Melissa office

‘Knock knock’

Melissa ‘ pls come in’

Me ‘ good afternoon ‘. I stood there

Melissa ‘ pls pls take a seat Charles ‘

Thank you , I replied back

M ‘ is everything in order ?’

Me ‘ everything is ok, ‘

Melissa handed over to me an envelope .

M ‘ there are 3 cards. A company fuel card . A new cashcard with 200 dollars value. A kopitiam card also with 200 dollars value. There is no need for you to TOP up. Just come to office and exchange for another card when it runs lows. From 1st nov onwards the season parking will start . You can park the car at B2 instead. There is a desk for you, my Pa will show you to your desk later. You are required to key in your time sheet on every Thursday . We will pay you cash on every Friday. If there is any overtime for both Thursday and Friday it will be pay on the following week. Any questions ?

Me ‘ no ‘

M ‘ alright then , I will see you on 1st nov . Enjoy your two days of rest, we do not need the car for e meantime ‘

Me ‘ ok’

Took the lift back down and drop off e pass into end drop off box. While I was about to take the stairs down to B2, I saw a group of drives sitting together having coffee. They stare at me for a long time., maybe because of e attire I am wearing. They figure out I could be a new driver working at STC. I put on a straight face and carry on walking.

Started up e car , but I was clueless where to go. The car was already cruising along ECP towards airport, I decided then to head towards TG RHU side to get some essential stuff at Cold Storage.

Me ‘ two separate bills’. As I group e different items for payment

The bottle water , wipe tissue and tissue box was meant for e car. These could be claimed.

Had a bite at BK and drove straight back home. The car was parked at the 5th level corner. It was then I realised that I did not purchase season parking for this car. Though for it for a while, I figure out for e time being I will just pay using e company cashcard. Once the VIP is here I Guess i would be ending working late Everyday.

Place the milk and other stuff inside e fridge before I went to take a shower. Sat in front of e cable box and fell asleep. Woke up at 7pm. Got dress and walk down to e hawker centre for dinner.

745pm head back to the car. Start up the car and spent some time getting used to e different function of e car. Change the drive to ‘ sports ‘

Me ‘ ok baby let’s see what u got !’

Drove the car hard. Could hear the engine roar. As I took the car down fast the multi storey carpark. Once I hit e minor road I slow down. Change the drive back to ‘auto’ cruise all the way to Tuas 2nd link.

My handphone rang . It was mellissa

Me ‘ yeah Hi hello ‘

Mellisa ‘ Charles could u pick up from Chinese Swimming club in 45 mins’

Me ‘ ok coming over right away’

Took the nearest exit out of AYE and sped up towards Marine Parade .

I woke up at about 4pm still with e thg in mind whether to take up e job offer. Other than they pay was attractive nothing else was I clear about e company profile.

Ran my fingers through my HP address list and call a few limo company for A8L. To my surprise only 2 companies have what I was looking for.

Limo company service guy on the line “ our rates are $3000/- per week ‘

Me ‘ whoa that is $12’000 per month I exclaimed !l”

Guy answer back “ sir can I check if this amount is coming out direct from your account or via a company account ?’

Me ‘ the company is paying I am just helping them to find a suitable car ‘

Guy ‘ no problem Sir, we have experience dealing with big companies . I forward the quotation to you. Pls forward to your company . They will get in touch with us and we can renegotiate form there ‘

Me “ ok “

Guy “ thank you very much, rest assure the car will meet yr VIP requirement ‘

Me “ alright thank you very much ‘

I received the quotation within in ten mins. I sms Melissa, asking for her email and forward e quote to her.

Melissa ‘ so I take it that you have accept our job offer ? This is because I need your drivers particulars to be recorded in e contact with e car rental company !’

Oh no ! Oh noooo. I shouted . Pacing up and down in my living room.

I replied back ‘ i didn’t hear you say anything about probation period for this job requirement !’

Melissa ‘ probation period is decided by me ranging from one week to 6 months ‘. So are u in or u out ? ‘

Me ‘ ok I am in”

Melissa ‘ welcome aboard , Glad to have u with us. With u around I can rest assure that u will do what is required and I can focus on other task! ‘ 1st Nov 2017 u are on. Go to collect e car at 12noon . VIP will come one week later .

Me “ ok ‘

At the meantime I contacted my logistic HR department on the phone . Tell them my resignation within 24 hours . To my surprise, they did not question me and ask me to prepare a CHQ for payment to the company . After 30 minutes, I received a call from e limo company.

Guy over e phone ‘ Sir the car is ready, you can collect tomorrow at 12noon’

Me ‘ I was told to only collect it on 1st Nov !

Guy ‘ no problem Sir . We throw in the extra few days for free and we got all e paper work cover. I even email you the contract’

Me ‘ oh ok , I will collect e car at 12noon tomorrow ‘

Guy ‘ ok see you ‘

I check my email on e phone and read thru the contract . The company managed to negotiate from 12k to 8k per month for Long term lease of 1 year.

I walk straight to my cupboard and pull out my black and white attire. Try it on and check whether does it still fit. Standing in front of the mirror the clothes do look a bit old. The white Long sleeve shirt doesnt look white anymore. Looks like I have to do come shopping soon.

interviewer : ” Charles, this is what our company can offer you, we seriously hope you can consider being part of our company.”

me: ” I am sorry i have to reject your offer…. “

I stood up and offer my handshake with the interviewer. She had a sad look and took a while to return the gesture for a handshake. She got her assistant to escort me to the lift lobby and once again thank me for coming down for the interview.

The lift took some time to reach the ground floor. As i was return the pass at the security counter, my HP started to vibrate. It wasn’t a familiar number.

Me ” Hello, did I leave anything behind at the office?”

That was my first thg.

The lady on the phone line replied ” Hello Charles, I understand you have just ended your interview. You should be still around the STC area, aint you ? “

Me: ” Sorry ? Who is this ? And what is this about? “

Lady : ” Is difficult to speak over the phone, if you are still around this area, why dont you choose a F&B joint at B1 , message me and I will meet you there”

Before i could even reply, the line was cut off. i look at the watch and is only 1030am. since i had already taken leave for e day. i decided to go ahead and meet up with this lady.

I went to B1 and head straight to Subway. Order a coffee and sat at a corner spot with my eyes looking at the entrance of the shop. Took out my HP and drop a text to the lady.

The reply came immediately “ ok, see you in ten mins”

9 mins went by and there wasn’t anyone walking in to the eatery. I stood up thinking to myself it was a prank. The sound of a ladies high heel shoe tapping away on the concrete floor caught my attention.

Lady “ You are rushing off already? I am sure I am not late yet”

Looking at her watch, waiting for my reaction.

I reacted fast … “No you are not, I just wanted to dispose this empty cup away”

She smiled back.

Me “ can I get you a drink, please?”

Lady ‘Is ok this wont take long.”

We both sat down. She claps here hands together and greeted me in Thai language. I understood straight away return a basic greeting. “Melisa, finally I am able to meet you in person”

Me “ Charles, hello Melisa what is this about?”

Melisa speaks like a true blue Singaporean but her parents are of mix heritage and I couldn’t figure out much from this first meeting.

Melisa “ we are looking for a long term driver for our VIP who is coming to Singapore next week onwards. I understand you did not took up the job offer just now. So I immediately called you up to have a chat with you.”

How In did she ???? A million question went thru my mind.

Melisa “ Hello Charles, are you there ? Have I lost you? “

Me “sorry about that…. I think there must a mistake… you got the wrong person”

She smiled. I know who exactly you are. If you are not up to the mark why should I come personally to speak to you?

She carry on “ Our VIP will be attached to Singapore for three years. All that I can disclose to you is that her position is higher than our current CEO. She is from the headquarters and she is going to base here. As such we are looking for someone who is able to take up this role.

I didn’t say a word and gave Melisa my full attention.

Melisa “ Our VIP had requested for a A8L, black in color. We need you to source for a decent car and our company will liaise directly with the car rental company with regards to the payment. A company fuel card will be given to you. A company cashcard and a kopitiam foodcourt card will also given to you. You will be attached to STC. Your pay will daily rated at $500 per day with no CPF. anything above 8 hrs will be at $50 an hour. You are expected to work 12 to 16 hrs a day. End of the work day you are able to drive the car back. Saturday and Sunday you are on standby in case the VIP needs e car.

Me “ I need some time to think about it’

Melisa :” sure. I give you three days”

She stood up and walk away. I continue to sit and wonder what just happened

Life as a Limo Driver (Part 182)

The smell of e new car has bug me for the past few days. Giving me constant headache. I got to step out the car as often as I could to get more fresh air whenever I am not driving. The new CEO will be arriving in 3 weeks time. For the past few days I was used by the office staff to send them out for lunches especially when they have craving for outside ‘ marina sq’ food . Work usually ends at 5pm and I would take a direct bus back home . Straight back to home and lifts off immediately.

I packed and return bk to my own flat one day when Helen left for Paris . She changed her lifestyle and I spotted her a few times with a guy driving a flashy sports car. I did some background check and found out that the guy was already married and all out to con Helen money. The sports cat was even purchased under Helen name. Helen was very nice and did not ask me to leave e house. Slowly we drifted and we end up sleeping different room. When she want attention she would sneak into my room to do her deed and head back to her room . I did warn her abt the con artist . She lowered her head and cry but did not say a word. That was the time I knew I had to make a move . Helen would not open her mouth to ask me to leave e house !

Because of the nature of my job I had 24 hours access to the office, I decided to come to work early after my horrid experience trying to take e MRT. At least now I could understand why ppl are unhappy abt crowded train.

The next person to report to office was the office cleaner lady. She is a very elderly woman and insist on making coffee for me if she sees me siting at the pantry area reading the pervious day newspaper.

By 830am I will make my way down to the office and to my daily pre vehicle check. I find did some basic recording in e log book as requested by my supervisor.

Day will start off with running some errands like to e bank to draw out cash . Purchase of premium wine if VIP request. Between 1030 to 11am I will back at office , taking a glance at ‘ today paper’ with another cup of coffee before heading out for lunch.

At times when the office gals get bore we will head out to east coast to have prawn noodle. The ladies will insist that I lunch with them. I try my best to turn down their offer. They will always used e same excuse…

‘ we will order yr share, if u don’t show up we will pack it back for u and u will have to eat the soggy noodles ‘

No choice ! I just sit down with e gal listening to their bitchy gossip … Finishing my noodles ASAP. Heading back to e car and cool it before they arrived . As it is a MPV I have to adjust the seats to make sure the ladies are comfortable inside. Many times I assist them to bOard the vehicle . The close proximity between them, scent of their fading perfume mix with drops of perspiration , sight of VPL , fair long legs and short skirt is a struggle for me. Thank goodness my sunglasses are on most of e time.

After heading back to office, I have to touch up e vehicle . Getting rid of food smell , used tissue paper , left behind HP etc. At abt 3pm it will be tea time back again at the pantry area. Standby most of e time till 6pm. follow by me reporting off

At 0845hrs , my phone beep ” meet me at the lift lobby sharp at 9am we are moving out”

It was my first day at work and I was told to report to HR at 9am. Took up my bag and press the lift button. It was peak hours and the lift buzzing chime kept ringing non stop each time the lift door open.

The crowd was non stop on the move, it wasn’t a scene I am familiar with. In fact it was my first time working in the “marina square ” vicinity .

My eyes glue to the different lift doors that were open . Looking out for for the staff I am supposed to meet.

A lady with trolley bag can running towards me ….

Lady ” let’s go the car is waiting outside “

Together we ran outside towards the drop area, witnessing the security officer chasing every car that park to pick up passengers.

The lady took the front seat, I slam the booth after placing the bag inside for her.

Lady ” welcome aboard , I am sorry I have to put you through this on your first day”

Me ” is ok”

Lady ” I am the PA for the CEO . U can call me CIN short form for Cindy . We are heading to collect the new car before picking up VIP guest from seletar airport.”

She didn’t speak at word more till we reach at the center to have the paper work done up before the new car was released .

CIN ” u are very fortunate , first day on the job and u got a new car to drive, pls take good care of the car “

Me ” I will “

I sat in the drivers seat making all the pre driving checks before signing the release form.

Me ” ok we are good to go”

CIN ” great , do we have time for me to head home ? “

She gave me the address and I did a calculation on the timing.

Me ” yes we can make it “

I took long breaks and stay for two weeks in Malaysia. Usually in the remote side of the east coast area. My Hp was left in Singapore and i set up my voice mail that I will be away for period of time. Arm with a Malaysian mobile number and a bag pack I travel to the kampong and stay with family that readily accepted me.

After two weeks I would come back to Singapore to stay for three days before repeating the same routine again. Each time I return I would check my email and Hp to find offer of job asking me to be their personal or office driver. I never reply to any of them. During the two night stay I would work for car valet company offering drive home services.

It was one night that I recall sending this lady back home…

Lady ” can I smoke ?”

Me ” while this is your cAr I am just offering to drive you home .”

She lid up and puff away . I lower the window at the driver side.

Lady ” I think I know you from somewhere….”

Me ” nah , u got the wrong person ! “

Lowering my jockey cap and adjusting my polo shirt collar.

Lady ” ha ha , u just gave yourself away. I am from HR . All these body languages u made….. We are train to read all these expression.

I did not speak.

Lady ” come work for us ! Our new CEO from HK is coming over. “

Down the road my relationship with Helen didn’t improved. In fact it got worst, We no longer sleep in the same room. She heads back home everyday at 11 to 12 midnight drunk. I got tired of baby sitting her that I opt to sleep in a different room. When morning comes, she will grab her gym back and the family driver will sent her for classes.

The domestic helpers had even more concern for me than Helen. They make sure that i eat well. And serve me birds nest , double boil soup etc.

My ex army friends SMS me saying that is ladies night asking me to join them. Since I had nothing on , I say ok to them.

I arrived 45 mins as I couldn’t find a lot. Turning around in circles to find a vacant URA lot. I gave up and parked my car at a Telok kurau private estate and walk down to e Club.

It was a Vietnamese joint. The guys were already there drinking jugs of beer. There was poles sticking around so I suspect it is some pole dancing plus HFJ.

Warrant officer A ” SGT … WTH …why so late ?

Me ” hey , how may times must I remind u guys … STOP calling me SGT . U guys are now warrant officers … What e ……

WO B ” ok ok our mistake …. But u are late .. U must do extra ! “

Me ” all drinks on me Lah … “

The guys cheer and clap their hands.

Me ” hey guys drinks only arh, hand flower and gals your own problem . I am not keen arh”

WO C ” don’t speak so soon , wait till u see the gals”

The music beat increase In pace. The spot lights came flashing round and round . Two Vietnamese gals came out in a bra and tight shorts. They started their routine and the crowd cheer on. I was stunt for a while.

WO A pass me a pack of wet tissue . I look at him. He signal me to wipe my drool off. I throw the pack at his face and ask him to look at the stage with my hand gesture.

The act end and soon the viet singers started to take stage. A few flowers went up and that was abt it. It was a small joint. The guys were regular i think. Soon their gals came up to me . To my surprise the gals spoke good mandarin. I could understand them but I couldn’t speak mandarin.

WO A ” ok ok nvr mind …. Later we go to another viet joint next to hard rock . The gals are coming along , they want to intro a nice singer to u . Not those hanky panky type.,

It was almost closing time I called for the bill and paid for it.

WO B ” Charles u want to get your car ready , another 30mins we are good to go”

The guys spare me the drinking knowing they will need me for transport to the next joint.

With five minutes to spare I arrived just outside the pub. One of the viet gals show me her handphone and pics of her sister that they want to intro.

Viet gal ” u got we chat ? “

Me ” hop in lah , don’t talk so much.

WO C took the front seat most likely high already closing his eyes to rest. The back was taken by three gals and the remaining two guys.

Helen ‘ hey baby can come and pick me from office ? ‘

Me ‘ har ? What u mean ? ‘

H ‘ I tender my resignation already … !! ‘

I paused a while and think .

Me ‘ U mean … U gave 24 hours notice ? ‘

H ‘ yah ! ‘

Me ‘ ok ok ok … I wasn’t expecting this but ok I am coming …. Wait at our usually pick up point area’

I got dress fast and floor e BMw . I never imagine she would resign immediately . I never imagine my worst nightmare is about to begin too .

I arrived to pick Helen up and saw she and some off her friends hugging. Crying and saying their goodbyes .

I assist her to load up the stuff and she jump inside the cAr .

Me ‘ I wasn’t expecting U to quit just like that !!’

H ‘ does it matter , I wanted to stop working anyway ! ‘

Me ‘ and be a spoil socialite ?’

Helen turn her head and look out of the window …

I floored the gas pedal and the turbo kick in , roaring down the expressway .

Helen body stiffen up as she grap the door handle .

I felt bad that I scared her, slowly my foot came off the gas pedal .

Me ‘ sorry … We do lunch at the swimming club ? ‘

Helen ‘ ok ‘ … She replied back softly …

With Helen staying home most of the time, the days ahead became extremely tough for me. After she woke up from bed, she would head to the kitchen and check on the maid. A slight thing that was not to her satisfaction the maids would get scolding from her.

She would accompany me for my physiotherapy and keep a watch on the female staff . At times she even request for a male staff if she felt something wasnt right. Her appetite for high end food means we only have our meals in fancy restaurant. This lead her to put on weight fast.

Helen ” dear do,u think I am fat? “

Me ” no”

Helen ” u took so long to answer ! “

Me ” baby I am driving and looking for the restaurant u wAnted to go to”


Helen faced was like the dark cloud. She turn up volume of the stereo set and drown my voice while I was try to clam her down. As soon as the car arrived at the hotel lobby. She hop and slam the door so hard, that the valet driver was stunt. Without waiting for me, she already went ahead and pile up her plate from the buffet table. I took a seat first at the table to have a sip of water. Helen returned, sat down and started eating,

I had no mood, not to mention appetite. I came back with my plate with just rice and vegetables.

Helen ” I pay close to 80 dollars for this Buffett and u come here to eat vegetables?

Me ” is ok this meal I pay! “

She stood up without replying me and went to get more food.

A whole plate of seafood was placed before me as Helen took her seat.
The sight of food disgusted me ! I could not even finished my food and call for the waitress to clear my plate.


Helen spoke ” next week I am heading to gym class on Monday and Thursday,

Me “ok “


The first week was ok. The 2nd week gym class got more intense and it becomes Monday to Thursday . Instead of coming back at noon she heads back at 6pm. At times drunk. She would head straight up to undress and sleep. Once I spotted her credit card bill while clearing her stuff for washing. The items purchase were mostly men stuff.

I kept my cool and never say a word for close to a month.
